Henri, a boston terrier, came into our lives about 6 years ago. Wonder Dog Rescue found Henri in central CA, and he was not an easy catch, from what I’d been told. I still think that, even now, he is afraid of being left and forgotten, abandoned. Poor guy! We are not sure of his past, but we do know that he is very protective of me. Henri is my boy. He follows me all over the house, watching with an eagle-eye, especially in the kitchen. He is intuitive about my thoughts, sensitive in that he knows when to go lay down on the sofa, patient when he waits for Cleo to finish eating so he can give the dog dish a thorough lick. Henri will walk forever whether it’s in our town or hiking up San Bruno Mt. Henri was our solo pooch, until I learned about Cleo through Wonder Dog.
Cleo, a french bulldog, was 5 when she joined our family. She came to Wonder Dog Rescue when a young couple felt they couldn’t care for her. Their loss! She’ll always be “baby doll” in our home. Cleo loves to sit on her “dad’s” lap when he reads. She loves to relax in the sun, hang out in the dark garage (I can’t figure this one out), and she has a magical ability to know when it’s time for her pill. Cleo loves kisses and any attention, even if it’s just a wrinkle wipe under the eyes. She goes where Henri goes. Together, Henri and Cleo walk and play together and love each other. They are my babies!
