Dolly is a pug from the Santa Cruz shelter. She is a sweet and fun girl. We soon realized that Dolly was struggling to breathe from little exertion. We had her seen by the vet right away. The vet recommended surgery to help her breathe easier. The dog breeds that have a smushed face can have this issue. We raised some money and had her surgery done. Now that she can breathe and live life without any complications she is ready for her new home. She is a happy girl who loves life. Dolly is good with other dogs. We are not sure how she works with cats. The foster has walked past some cats while on a walk and Dolly didn't pay much attention to them.Dolly loves to play with socks. As it turns out she is a sock thief. She also loves to go for walks but they keep them short because if she gets too excited she quickly gets out of breath. The breathing has improved with the surgery and improves each day. She is very loving and enjoys cuddling. She does not like dog beds, she will sleep on the floor or on someone's knee. Working on potty training, she will not use pee pads. Dolly will go outside as long as someone keeps her company. She is food motivated and will do anything for a treat.
